Sustainability

The adverse effects of climate change are undeniable, and we want to do our best to be part of the solution. Many concerts, venues, and festivals around the world are setting new sustainability standards for live events.

Zaccaria Concerts and Touring and our brands (SummerSaltBy The CLive In The VinesCastaway) conduct many outdoor concerts over the Summer around Australia. As such, we respect the gorgeous summer locations we operate in when we conduct outdoor concerts, and include green initiatives to minimise our impact to these locations and beyond.

NO SINGLE USE PLASTICS

We have eliminated all single-use plastics from our bar operations. We now offer canned water for sale in our bars and where we do use plastic bottles they are 100% recyclable. This means that seeing plastic straws, cups and non recyclable water bottles at our shows have become a thing of the past.

SAME POLICY APPLIES BACKSTAGE

We have also eliminated plastic water bottles from the backstage catering areas and artist areas. We now provide water stations with cups for all of our backstage operations and for our on site staff. We provide reusable drinking bottles for our staff to use at the water refill stations.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

We also ask our concert patrons to help and minimise their own impact – steps including taking public transport, avoiding bringing unrecyclable plastic in to the venue, disposing of waste responsibly, and other small things that can be done to reduce harm to the environment. We allow patrons to bring their own reusable water bottles to our outdoor concerts and we provide drinking water refill stations around the concert site. We provide biodegradable rubbish bags to all patrons as they enter our venues and we ask patrons to use these bags for their own litter and keep recyclables in a separate bag. Our cleaners will collect them at the end of the night.

PARTNERSHIPS
By The C is proud to be partnered with SEA SHEPARD.
Keep an eye out for their stalls and staff at most of our By The C concerts and drop by, say hello, learn a bit more and grab some of their merch or donate.

Sea Shepard's mission is to protect defenceless marine wildlife and end the destruction of habitat in the world’s oceans. Since 1977, Sea Shepherd has used innovative direct action tactics to defend, conserve and protect the delicately-balanced biodiversity of our seas and enforce international conservation laws. www.seashepherd.org.au
